UGA en España

UGA en España, through the Franklin College of Arts & Sciences, offers study abroad programs in sites across Spain--Valencia, Cádiz, Sevilla, and Madrid--as well as the Perú Medical Maymester.  Each program offers students a unique opportunity to develop a stronger background in Spanish language and culture and to complete coursework required of Spanish and Romance Languages majors and minors as well as the International Business major.  The various programs differ in terms of the courses offered, the cultural activities and excursions included, and the particular characteristics of the locations, but all share a common goal of globalizing the UGA undergraduate degree and enriching the educational experience of students from UGA and beyond.  By providing for contacts abroad that deepen linguistic and cultural understanding of both the target country and of the world at large, it is our belief that study abroad greatly enhances not only the educational experience per se but also the formation of the student as a person and world citizen in ways that cannot be replicated in the conventional classroom.

Please feel free to call us at our office in Gilbert Hall at 706-542-6536, or write to program Director Dr. Gary Baker at spain@uga.edu.

About the programs

UGA en España's Valencia Spring program is our longest and most complete experience abroad, allowing time to fully explore the academic, cultural, and personal benefits of an extended stay in a foreign country. See our link to this program for further information.  UGA en España also plans to offer its array of summer programs. Whether it's in Cádiz, Madrid/Barcelona, Sevilla, Valencia, or in Peru with the Peru Medical Spanish program, we promise a rich and unforgettable personal and academic experience.  ¡Ánimo y hasta pronto!
