I am a third-year PhD student in Hispanic Linguistics. Broadly, my research interests include sociolinguistics, variation and change, and language contact in Nicaragua (Miskitu/Spanish). More specifically, my current research projects involve variable number concord and subject expression in Mosquito Coast Spanish. My research investigates the effects of bilingualism and second-language acquisition on morpho-syntactic aspects of Spanish along the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua.
