REQUIRED COURSES (3 HOURS)

Teaching Assistants must take:                 

SPAN (LING) 7750         Teaching College Spanish              3 hours

or ROML 7700                Romance Language Pedagogy      3 hours

 

ELECTIVE COURSES (24 HOURS)

24 hours (normally 8 courses) to be selected from the list of Spanish graduate courses and ROML 8000-level courses in language, literature, and culture. Students at the M.A. level are limited to three credit hours of ROML 8000.

 

THESIS WRITING

SPAN 7300         Master's Thesis         1-9 hours. Repeatable for maximum 18 hours credit.

A minimum of 3 hours is required by the Graduate School.                                                          

 

NON-THESIS OPTION

Total hours required for this degree: 33. See the requirements above, except that non-thesis students do not take SPAN 7300, but take 30 hours of elective courses.
