Principal Lecturer of Spanish I am a Principal Lecturer of Spanish at UGA, teaching all levels of Spanish language, literature, and culture. My primary area of specialization is Peninsular literature and film, and I’m especially passionate about integrating the visual arts into my classes. At all course levels, I strive to implement student-centered pedagogy that inspires curiosity, opens doors, and fosters student engagement. In collaboration with the UGA Center for Teaching and Learning, I am an Active Learning Faculty Mentor, facilitating pedagogical workshops as well as student focus groups to support faculty in the implementation of Active Learning course redesigns. In Spring 2025, I was part of the inaugural faculty cohort of the CTL's Course Redesign Excellence Program (CRDx), transforming my Spanish Film course for greater transparency and enhanced alignment of activities and assessments with course learning objectives. I am currently in the process of completing the Career Everywhere Faculty Program with the UGA Career Center to help students navigate resources and explore opportunities.
