Fabio Passos is currently a first-year Master's student in Spanish at the University of Georgia (UGA), where he also works as a Teaching Assistant for Spanish 1001. 

Prior to joining UGA, Fabio served as a Lecturer and brings more than 15 years of professional experience across the business, tourism, and hospitality industries, both within Brazil and internationally. In recent years, his career has centered on higher education and consulting, instructing undergraduate and graduate students—both on campus and online—in areas related to Tourism, Hospitality, and Business.

As an educator and researcher, Fabio connects academic theory with practical implementation, using real-world case studies and hands-on projects to expose students to current industry challenges. He also has a solid background in planning and coordinating academic, corporate, and social events, including large-scale international gatherings such as the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Additionally, he is affiliated with the Bank of Evaluators (BASis) of Brazil’s National Higher Education Evaluation System, where he conducts external reviews of undergraduate programs at higher education institutions.

Beyond teaching and consulting, Fabio has engaged in research and given presentations on a wide range of topics, including Hotel Management, Event Planning, Entrepreneurship, Business Strategy, Innovation, and Education.
