PhD Candidate, Hispanic Linguistics, Teaching Assistant of Spanish and Women and Gender Studies

My name is Flor Adams and I am a PhD candidate here at UGA in Hispanic Linguistics and am also completing the graduate certificates in Women and Gender Studies, Interdisciplinary Qualitative Studies, and Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Classes taught: SPAN 1001/1002/1110/2001. Classes served as a TA: SPAN 4081 and WGS 2300.

My theoretcial framework includes: Post-structuralism/Posthumanism, Queer theory, Discourse Analysis, Raciolinguistics, Sociopragmatics. 

Current research topics: Mock Spanish and pejoratives like slurs.
