Assistant Professor of Spanish at Rockhurst University since 2021.

M.A. '17 and Ph.D. '21 in Romance Languages, Hispanic Linguistics emphasis, funded by FLAS grants to study the Miskitu language in Nicaragua, and winner of LACSI's Graduate Field Research Award and a Graduate Research Award from the Willson Center for Humanities and Arts.

A memorable international experience at Georgia was working as a Program Assistant with UGA en España. I got to spend a part of my summer living in beautiful Cádiz, Spain, working with amazing colleagues and exploring Spain with a great group of students.

Studying language, literature, and culture at Georgia prepared me to perform research and teach a variety of topics in linguistics. I was able to learn from wonderful faculty and collaborate with my fellow graduate students.

I encourage students at Georgia today to take advantage of the many opportunities available through the Department of Romance Languages, the Latin American and Caribbean Studies Institute and other entities on campus. Every experience you can add to complement your coursework and teaching will enrich your overall experience and make you more competitive on the job market. You never know how an experience may become relevant when searching for jobs!
