Our Team

Dr. Timothy Gupton has been at UGA since 2010. He is Director of Virtual Buenos Aires. He is also Director of the UGA en Buenos Aires (UGABA) summer study abroad program, which normally operates during the summer, since 2016. UGABA has been on hiatus since the Covid-19 pandemic started. 

Dr. Pablo Ansolabehere has collaborated with UGA since 2010. He teaches literature classes at Universidad de Buenos Aires, Universidad de San Andrés, and Universidad Nacional de Las Artes. He is also Visiting Associate Professor at UGA.

Dr. Patricio Fontana has collaborated with UGA since 2010. He teaches literature and film classes at Universidad de Buenos Aires and Universidad del Cine. He is also Visiting Assistant Professor at UGA.

Marcela Garbagnati is the on-site coordinator for Virtual Buenos Aires. She has collaborated with UGA since 2006, when the UGA en Buenos Aires study abroad program started. She handles logistics for UGA Romance Languages programs in Argentina, arranging internships, conducting screening interviews with students from the US and partners in Buenos Aires.
