Crossroads Conference 2026

The Crossroads Conference is an interdisciplinary event hosted annually each February by the Graduate Student Organization of the Department of Romance Languages. It brings together graduate students from the University of Georgia and institutions across the Southeastern United States for two days of scholarly exchange, collaboration, and community.

This year, we are excited to announce that the 6th Crossroads Conference will take place on February 20-21, 2026, at the University of Georgia’s main campus in Athens, GA. We welcome submissions from scholars in the Humanities and Social Sciences. Abstracts are due by November 10, 2025, and acceptance notifications will be sent by December 5, 2025. Each participant may submit one abstract, and while there is no fee to submit, a $35 participation fee (payable in cash at registration) is required for accepted presenters.

Additional details, including keynote speaker announcements and conference logistics, will be shared via email in mid-October. We encourage you to submit your work and join us in Athens!
