Congratulations to Javier Cabezas Zapata on the successful defense of his doctoral dissertation. In his dissertation, titled “¿Se Puede Medir La Gramaticalización? El caso de las anclas temporales en español”, Javier proposes a tool for measuring linguistic change based on large-scale corpus samples. Dr. Gupton, Dr. Ranson, and Dr. Howe were impressed with Javier’s work and are excited to see how it progresses as he continues in his new role as Assistant Educator Professor of Spanish at Villanova University.

 ¡Enhorabuena, Javier!
